Advisors can access a school-year calendar that outlines key chapter events, deadlines, and ELA Honor Society-wide programs, aiding chapter management.
Technology Guide
Step-by-step instructions help Advisors and students navigate two main platforms:
- ELA Gateway for member enrollment and data management
- AwardSpring for awards, grants, and competition registration.
Chapter Activities
A curated bank of suggested chapter activities offers inspiration for ELA-focused initiatives. These can range from writing and literature projects to service-based campaigns.
Induction Ceremonies
Detailed guidance details how to plan and execute both student member inductions and Chapter Leader inductions, ensuring meaningful and organized events.
Apparel & Merchandise
Chapter Advisors and members can purchase official ELA Honor Society apparel and other branded items through Shop ELA.
Chapter Showcase Program & Award
Advisors are encouraged to submit outstanding student-led project examples to the Chapter Showcase. High-impact, well-executed projects may even qualify for a Chapter Showcase Award recognizing excellence.
Professional Support Grants
Teachers can apply for Professional Support Grants aimed at enhancing their ELA teaching practice through professional development opportunities.
Classroom Library Grants
To bolster literacy in the classroom, advisors may request Classroom Library Grants, which help expand and update reading collections for students.
