Above: The Morgan Road Middle English Honor Society hosted American High Director/Producer Jeremy Garelick on Wednesday, January 10. He met with the 8th graders to share how he founded the American High Studio and his expertise and knowledge of the movie industry.
The ELA Honor Society is running an ELA Chapter Activities Photo Competition between February 10 and February 29, 2024.
We would like you to submit no more than three high-quality photographs of students at your chapter taking part in ELA Honor Society activities at school, within their community, or engaging in a literary- or literacy-focused activity.
This will allow us, at the ELA Central Office, and our wider ELA Honor Society community to get a glimpse of the wonderful work you and your students are doing and will give your students an opportunity to be recognized for their participation in ELA chapter life on ELA Honor Society social media.
The ELA Honor Society will provide $25 prizes to three randomly selected participating ELA chapters.
Here are some guidelines to help you and your students prepare your submissions:
- You should select no more than 3 photos to submit.
- All photos must be high-quality JPG, JPEG, or PNG files.
- All photos must show ELA Honor Society students engaging in ELA chapter activities, literary-focused, or literacy-focused activities either within their school or their community.
- All photos must be accompanied by a short (no more than 50 word) caption.
- All photos must be submitted by a registered Chapter Advisor (we cannot accept submissions directly from students).
Please submit your photos via email to ela@niu.edu between February 10 and February 29, 2024.
We look forward to receiving submissions from your chapter!
