Join the Inaugural ELA Advisory Council

As the ELA Honor Society continues to grow, further guidance and support is needed to ensure our programming is meeting the needs of our diverse student population. To that end we are excited to offer volunteer positions to three current Chapter Advisors (at three different schools) who want to lead the Society and join our inaugural Advisory Council.

Advisory Council members are respected members of the ELA Honor Society community and are responsible for guiding the organization and developing, improving, and maintaining ELA’s national and international activities in areas such as chapter growth, publicity and marketing, public relations, and program development.

The search committee is particularly interested in receiving applications from motivated and enthusiastic educators who represent the diversity found within their communities.

If this sounds like an opportunity that you would be interested in, we encourage you to learn more from the position description and reach out to us with any questions. Applications, in the form of a current CV, a cover letter, and a recommendation letter from a school administrator are due by May 1, 2024, 11:59 p.m., CDT and should be sent via email to Christopher Lockwood, ELA Honor Society Director.
